Lehigh Acres, FL (April 1, 2019) - A 42-year-old woman is dead following a three-car crash on Monday, April 1st, which occurred along the Daniels Parkway.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Nahomie Deltor was a passenger in a 2000 Chrysler Sebring that was disabled in the center lane of the road due to mechanical problems. The driver of the Sebring was identified as 34-year-old Manel Evariste. A 2013 GMC Terrain, driven by 20-year-old Sara Pequeno, was traveling eastbound on Daniels when it struck the left end of the Sebring, causing it to go through the intersection and collide with a 1998 Toyota Sienna driven by 55-year-old Ronald Francois.
Deltor was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Evariste suffered minor injuries, while Pequeno and Francis were not injured. The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
Our deepest sympathies are extended to the family of Nahome Deltor, who lost her life in this tragic Lehigh Acres crash. Traffic collisions have the potential to cause death and serious injuries in certain circumstances, especially if they occur at high speeds. Although we will have to await further word, it appears as though Sara Pequeno's negligence caused this crash to occur.
