Lithia, FL (June 22, 2018) – A 27-year-old man lost his life in a deadly motorcycle accident that occurred in Lithia. The accident happened on Wednesday morning when the motorcycle suddenly collided with a Peterbilt tractor on County Road 672.
The victim was identified as Brandon Wayne Fowler, who was driving his Suzuki motorcycle at 45 mph around 6:30 a.m. A 2010 Peterbilt tractor was pulling along a flatbed trailer and made a left turn into a construction site across the street.
The driver of the tractor, 45-year-old Noriel Marcos Arteaga, did not see the motorcycle and continued to turn, striking the passenger side fuel tank.
Fowler was knocked directly off of his motorcycle. He was wearing a helmet at the time but still died at the scene of the accident.
