This accident highlights the danger of a vehicle malfunction. Although many crashes result directly from human error, sometimes a crash occurs due to an issue with the vehicle itself. Faulty equipment, including brakes, tires and other vehicle parts can sometimes cause an accident to occur.
In cases of vehicle malfunction, the accident should be closely examined. If the vehicle is manufactured in a dangerous condition, then the vehicle manufacturer could face liability. In other cases, the maintenance history of the vehicle should also be considered to determine if improper maintenance or no maintenance could be the cause of the malfunction. In any event, it is important to identify the proper person or party responsible for vehicle malfunction to ensure that innocent victims are compensated whenever possible.
