There were reports of a 2-year-old who was run over by a tractor in Manatee County. Heavy machinery accidents happen on many occasions, seriously injuring those involved or even taking their lives in the worst scenarios.
The Manatee County tractor accident sent the 2-year-old boy to the hospital with apparent non-life-threatening injuries when he was run over by a tractor on Thursday afternoon. The accident happened when Christopher Lawson was cutting his field with a tractor and brush hog. His 2-year-old was sitting on his lap at the time.
Lawson put his foot on the clutch to stop the tractor and hand his son over to his wife. However, when doing so, the tractor lunged forward and the boy was thrown to the ground. His legs were then run over by the tractor before it was stopped.
The boy was immediately taken to the hospital and s expected to make a full recovery.
