A Marathon man was critically injured in a Sarasota motorcycle accident that happened late last night. Troopers responded to the incident that happened on Lorraine Road and Polo Club Lane. The man, a 37-year-old from Marathon, Florida, was located and taken to the local hospital.
Troopers discovered that he was traveling north on his Harley where he lost control and went off the roadways. The front tire of his motorcycle collided with a tree, which sent the motorcycle end over end and back into the roadway. The man was wearing a helmet at the time. They do not believe that alcohol is a factor.
The crash investigation is ongoing and the man is still in critical condition.
