Matthew Sarson and Cody Johnson Seriously Injured in Crash

In Defuniak Springs, Florida, one person was left in critical condition and another in serious condition following a car accident that occurred last night.

At the time of the incident, 23-year-old Matthew Sarson was driving east on Bob Sikes Road with his passenger, 23-year-old Cody Johnson. He veered off the road and tried to over-correct, which led to his vehicle flipping over. It came to a final rest at the edge of a tree line.

Both driver and passenger were taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center with serious injuries for treatment.

    A 7-year-old boy was seriously hurt after being struck by a car on Mariner Boulevard. The crash happened on Tuesday, December 31st around 7:00 p.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Jonathan Nunes was riding a tricycle and attempting to cross Mariner when he rode into the path of a 1997 Honda Civic that was traveling southbound. The front right of the vehicle struck Nunes. The boy was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital after the crash with injuries that were described as serious. The driver of the Civic, 38-year-old Thomas C.
