Miami-Dade County, FL (August 15, 2018) – Paramedics were called to a scene, who then contacted a trauma surgeon for a serious car accident in Miami-Dade County. The driver had to be rescued early on Sunday along Krome Avenue.
An officer in the area said that the driver lost control of their vehicle and slammed into a concrete pillar around 5:30 a.m. in the morning on Southwest 272nd Street. The driver had to be extricated due to the severity of the crash and how mangled it left his vehicle.
Members of a fire rescue team and the surgeon who arrived at the scene took four hours to safely remove the driver from the vehicle. The driver was then airlifted to the Jackson South Trauma Center. Their condition has not yet been released.
At this time, police continue to investigate the accident.
