Miami-Dade, FL (June 22, 2018) – One person lost their life and two others were seriously injured after a fatal Florida Turnpike accident that took place on Thursday. The accident happened around 8:30 a.m.
The two people who received serious injuries had to be rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment following the accident that happened in the southbound lanes of the highway. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews were called to the scene around Northwest 41st Street.
Two additional people were taken to the hospital in unknown condition. Crews blocked off two lanes of traffic while they worked in the area. Motorists seek alternative routes.
