Miami, FL (September 9, 2018) - A Kentucky couple was hospitalized following a motorcycle accident in the Keys on Wednesday. Police were called out to the accident scene at mile marker 99 on US 1 around 11:10 on Wednesday morning.
Steven Stratton, 48, and Krista Stratton, 46, were riding together on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the northbound lanes when they were struck by a 2017 Land Rover driven by 22 year old Christine Intoccia. An investigation into the accident led police to conclude that Intoccia failed to properly yield when changing lanes. The Land Rover clipped the motorcycle, causing the accident to occur. Steven and Krista Stratton were taken to Jackson Medical Center. There is no update on their condition or the nature of their injuries. Neither were wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
