Miami, FL (July 24, 2018) – A flight school is now closing down after four individuals lost their lives in two small plane crashes over the Florida Everglades. The business is known as Dean International, and the owner Robert Dean spoke to students and told them the news.
The four individuals who lost their lives were identified as 22-yar-old Jorge Sanchez, 72-year-old Ralph Knight, 19-year-old Nisha Sejwal and 22-year-old Carlo Scarpati.
Last Tuesday, a Piper and a Cessna collided in the area, which led to the serious accident. It happened about 9 miles west of the Miami Executive Airport. Records show that the planes from this specific school were involved in five accidents between 2007-2017, two of which ended in fatalities.
Right now, the accident is still being investigated by the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board.
Plane accidents are not unheard of in Florida, where many airports make their home and people utilize services to get from one place to another. Our condolences are with you if you have lost somebody you love in one of these life-changing accidents.
