We want to extend our sympathies to the family of the woman who lost her life in this tragic Miami hit-and-run crash. There are approximately 100,000 hit-and-run accidents each year in our state. This accounts for approximately 25% of all crashes. Many hit-and-run accidents are caused by negligent drivers who are either distracted, impaired or driving recklessly. Rather than remain on scene to take responsibility, they choose to flee.
