Miami, FL (November 3, 2019) - A crash involving a car and a golf cart left a man critically hurt in Miami. The crash occurred on Saturday, November 2nd on the MacArthur Causeway around 5:00 a.m.
Police say that the collision occurred in the westbound lanes of the causeway. The golf cart operator was ejected after the crash and suffered a head injury. He was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. The driver of the car, 20-year-old Paloma Guelfi, was investigated and taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.
The westbound lanes of the Causeway were closed for several hours and reopened around 4:00 p.m. No further information is available.

The three victims who were killed in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday in Palm Harbor have been identified by police. The crash took place around 11:37 p.m. at the intersection of US 19 and Tampa Road. Authorities indicate that a 2013 Buick Lacrosse was traveling southbound on US 19 in the center lane. As the vehicle approached the intersection, it ran a traffic light and collided with the right rear of a 2010 Nissan Versa. The Versa was traveling westbound on Tampa Road at the time of impact. A driver and two passengers in the Nissan were ejected from the vehicle and died at the crash scene. Read more
