There are about 100,000 hit-and-run crashes each year in Florida. This number may seem high but the reality is that 1 in every 4 crashes is a hit-and-run. Drivers choose to leave the scene of a crash for many reasons, mostly due to the fact that they do not wish to accept responsibility for their negligent actions. When a hit-and-run driver is caught, however, they may still end up paying for the damages caused to their victims and may also face criminal charges for their role in the cash. An experienced Florida car accident lawyer can help you if you have been the victim of a hit-and-run in our state.
