Miami, FL (July 17, 2018) – Pedestrian accidents happen every day in Florida, some of which lead to serious injuries. In fact, almost 10,000 pedestrians were injured in accidents last year alone.
In Miami, a truck pedestrian accident took place when a pedestrian was crossing a street and was struck by a truck. The elderly woman is now recovering and is expected to be okay.
The woman, whose name has not yet been released, was crossing the street at 63rd and Indian Creek Drive when the incident took place and the truck was not able to stop in time. The driver, however, stayed at the scene of the accident to speak with police when they arrived.
The woman was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, we are not sure of her condition or if there are charges, but the accident is still being investigated.
Crashes involving pedestrians can lead to serious results. In fact, they take the lives of 2 people every day in Florida and in many other places in the U.S. Our condolences are with you if you have been injured or if a loved one has lost their life in one of these accidents.
