On Friday, an accident occurred at Miami Gardens when a previous vehicle accident sent an SUV slamming into a bus stop. A mother and her autistic son were waiting at the bus stop at the time like they did every morning according to neighbors.
The person who was killed in the accident was identified as 75-year-old Gracie Palmer. Her son was left with injuries.
A surveillance video from the crash showed that an SUV drove through an intersection, colliding with a white car. The car did not make a complete stop at the stop sign.
Palmer was instantly killed at the scene and her son sustained serious injuries, but none that were life-threatening. He was airlifted to Aventura Hospital for treatment. Neighbors agree that the intersection where she was killed is a dangerous area where accidents happen at times.
