A mother pushing a stroller lost her life while her toddler was seriously injured after two vehicles were racing. The mother was located on Bayshore Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon when she was struck and her 2-year-old was seriously injured.
A witness claimed that two vehicles were racing down the Boulevard and passed him going about 60 mph. The woman was located in the middle of the road and crossing the street when one of the vehicles struck them, sending the stroller flying. At this time, police are not sure how fast the vehicles were going when she was hit.
Both drivers remained at the scene for questioning. A driver and passenger were both put in cuffs and taken to the police cars. At this time, speed is being viewed as a factor.
Accidents involving speeding can come with deadly results, especially when pedestrians are involved. Pedestrians have few protections on our roadways. If you have been injured, we want to speak with you immediately, so give us a call today. Your case is important to us at Rubenstein Law.
