Two children were killed in a mudding accident that took place this weekend. The accident took place last night and took the lives of two young children, identified as a 10-year-old and 15-year-old. The accident took place when the driver lost control of his truck due to a mechanical failure and struck both of them.
The 11-year-old was hit and injured at the South Creek Mud Boggin’ accident. It took place around 7 p.m. when the driver of a 1988 Chevy truck was completing a run through the mud pit and prepared to exit the realm. His throttle struck, however, which made him unable to slow down. He lost control while exiting the mud pit.
The vehicle went through some cables and into an area where children were standing. All three were struck, and then the truck overturned and came to a stop.
Two of the children lost their lives at the scene of the accident. The 11-year-old, however, was flown to a medical center in Jacksonville. Their identities have not yet been released while the investigation continues.
