Bicycle accidents happen on a daily basis across our state. Bicycle safety is a very important issue given the number of bike riders in Florida. Some helpful bicycle safety tips are as follows:
- Ride with the flow of traffic
- Stop at all intersections and stoplights
- Use hand or turn signals to notify cars of turns
- Wear protective gear, including a helmet
- Know the road and the area in which you are riding
Both bicyclists and drivers have a duty to share the roadways safely. In cases where a driver's negligence causes injuries,a bicyclist may bring a personal injury claim.
