North Fort Myers, FL - Fatal Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles Reported on Pine Island Road

North Fort Myers, FL (August 18, 2019) - Several vehicles were involved in a fatal crash in North Fort Myers on Saturday, August 17th. The crash took place on Pine Island Road, near the intersection with Barrett Road, around 1:00 p.m.

Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene in reference to the crash. According to police, there were at least five cars involved. No word was provided on what caused the crash to occur. One person was pronounced dead following the collision but has not been identified at this time. There is no information on whether anyone else sustained injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
