Northwest Miami-Dade, FL (July 10, 2019) - A crash between two cars knocked down a utility pole and left two people injured in Northwest Miami-Dade. The collision occurred on Monday, July 8th, around 7:30 p.m.
Police responded to the intersection of Northwest 27th Avenue and 56th Street. Investigators say that a white truck was traveling on Northwest 27th when the driver attempted to make a U-turn. As the driver was completing the turn, however, the truck collided head-on with a blue Nissan sedan traveling northbound. The impact from the crash forced the Nissan into a nearby telephone pole, which caused it to fall to the ground. As it was falling, the pole barely missed a bystander who was attempting to help one of the crash victims.
Police say that two people were injured in the crash but there is no word at this time on their conditions. The victims have not been identified and no further information is currently available.
Approximately 250,000 injury accidents will take place this year in our state. No one ever gets into a car expecting to be involved in an injury crash. The reality, however, is that crashes happen all around us each and every day. Many crash victims are in the wrong place at the wrong time. The aftermath of the accident can sometimes be worse than the collision itself. It is common for crash victims to suffer from serious physical pain, financial struggles, and mental and emotional issues following a crash.
