Deadly pedestrian accidents take place about two times per day in Florida. Last year, more than 700 pedestrians were killed in crashes on our streets and highways. Pedestrian collisions are most likely to occur on busy roadways in poorly-lit areas. They also commonly occur at night or in the early morning hours when visibility is reduced. Police will continue to carefully investigate this crash.
