Hit-and-run accidents in Florida are very prevalent and account for almost a quarter of all car accident in our state. Each year, there are approximately 100,000 crashes where drivers choose to leave the scene. Although a driver is legally required to remain on scene following an injury crash, many people choose to unfortunately disregard the law in an effort to avoid responsibility for their actions. Our condolences go out to the family of Demossi Weaver during this difficult time.
