Orange County, FL (September 28, 2018) – A 13-year-old boy who was struck by a hit-and-run driver almost one week ago is continuing to recover. The mother of the victim, Cody Loechner is rightfully having trouble dealing with her son’s condition, but she has hope as police believe they have found the vehicle involved.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers have located a 2000 white Toyota Avalon that they believe to be the vehicle seen in a traffic video that caught some of the accident on camera. The accident was partially caught on a surveillance camera when Loechner was struck while riding his bicycle.
The victim’s mother, Tami Loechner is expressing her gratitude today for a tipster who called in to help locate the vehicle. Police are currently questioning the driver of that vehicle who was reported to be cooperating at this time.
