Orlando, FL (July 11, 2018) – A man received injuries in a Disney World accident only hours after another worker was killed due to another industrial accident. The accident took place on Monday around 10:30 p.m. in Orlando.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of 2901 Osceola Parkway, at the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. A man called 911 after he fell and injured himself, according to deputies. He was quickly taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition.
This was the second of two accidents that happened at Disney World that day. The Animal Kingdom incident took place only hours after a worker was killed in an accident at the Pop Century Resort. In that accident, a 33-year-old named Juan Alberto Ojeda was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of both accidents are still under investigation at this time. The man involved in the second accident is expected to make a recovery.
