Orlando, FL (November 20, 2018) - Two women were injured after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash on Monday, November 19th. The crash took place around 3:30 am on Orange Blossom Trail and Ginger Mill Boulevard.
The women were involved in a three-vehicle crash before the hit-and-run occurred. As they stepped out of their vehicles to survey the damage from the crash a Honda Civic passing through the area struck the women and drove off. The Honda was located a few miles from the scene and police were able to locate the registered owner, but not the driver. The owner is cooperating with law enforcement at this time.
Both women were transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center where one is listed in critical condition. No further information is currently available.
A hit-and-run crash can leave devastating consequences behind. In 2017, there were over 400,000 car accidents each year in the Sunshine State, and victims of a hit-and-run accident may feel helpless as police search for the perpetrator who caused the crash and then chose to leave the scene. In the meantime, the accident victim may wonder how they will be compensated.
