An accident took place on Palatka’s Highway 17 this week, which left four dead. Two of the victims were 21-year-old Darrika Word and her one-year-old son, Jacquez Johnson Jr. The toddler’s father was also killed in the accident. The four-year-old sister of Johnson Jr. also lost her life.
Eight patients in all were involved in the crash. It is believed that everybody inside the other vehicle will recover. The accident happened when a Kia crossed the centerline for an unknown reason and a head-on crash occurred.
