Panama City Beach, FL (July 19, 2018) – Seven people were sent to the hospital after receiving serious injuries in a wreck that closed eastbound lanes of Back Beach Road. Two people involved in the accident were children, who received critical injuries. The accident took place on Tuesday morning.
A driver crashed into the van that the children were riding in. A Ford Escape was being driven by Regina Martin, who attempted to make a left turn but instead crashed into the side of a van being driven by Javier Gallardo Almanza. The children were inside the van.
In all, seven people were taken to local hospitals with various injuries in the wreck that closed the roadway for over an hour. The children were sent to the hospital with the most severe injuries out of all other parties. The good news is that they were alert and conscious when they were taken to the hospital.
