Pasco County, FL - Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Old Dixie Highway

Pasco County, FL (January 9, 2020) - A deadly pedestrian crash took place in Pasco County on Thursday, January 9th. The crash happened at the intersection of Old Dixie Highway and Aripeka Road.

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to rescue workers, a pedestrian was struck by a car. The pedestrian, who has not been identified at this time, was pronounced dead from their injuries. No information as to the cause of the accident and it is not clear whether the driver remained at the scene.

Police advised drivers to find alternate routes of travel. There is no further information available at this time.

    A man from St. Petersburg was seriously injured when his motor scooter was struck by a vehicle in Pinellas Park. The crash took place on Tuesday, October 13th around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of 39th Street N and 62nd Avenue. The Pinellas Park Police Department responded to the crash scene. According to officers, 33-year-old Jared Hernandez of St. Petersburg was traveling on 39th Street when a car pulled into his path.   • The Villages, FL - Woman Hurt in Car Accident on Morse Boulevard

    An elderly woman was injured in a crash that took place on Thursday in The Villages. The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Morse Boulevard and County Road 466. Police say that two cars were involved in the crash. Both vehicles suffered heavy damage and were towed from the crash scene. One person in the vehicle was injured and was taken to Ocala Hospital by rescue workers. The identity of the victim was not immediately available. It is unclear how the crash occurred. Read more
