Florida experiences about 400,000 reported car accidents annually. Of this number, more than 100,000 will be hit-and-run collisions. The number of hit-and-run crashes in Florida has been steadily climbing each year, with about 105,000 of these incidents reported in 2019. While hit-and-run crashes continue to be an epidemic, the number of injuries to innocent victims is also a major issue. In many hit-and-run accidents, victims will suffer serious injuries while a negligent driver attempts to avoid responsibility by fleeing the scene.
