Pedestrian, Matthew Leveillee, Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle

A pedestrian has passed away due to injuries after they have been struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was struck in Jacksonville in the area of 5800 blocks of University Boulevard.
Jacksonville Police responded to the crash that happened around 9:30 p.m. at night and transported the pedestrian to the hospital with severe injuries. However, the pedestrian passed away in the hospital. They have been identified as 55-year-old Matthew Leveillee.
The driver who struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene of the accident after it occurred. Traffic Homicide units are still investigating the accident.
