Accidents that take the life of a passenger can be very trying scenarios, with families wondering how they can compensate during a difficult time. In Manatee County yesterday afternoon, one man died and another was injured in an accident.
30-year-old Pedro Mancia Cartagena of Plant City was traveling on State Road 62 when he lost control and ended up in a ditch, overturning the vehicle. The vehicle struck a tree stump in a very deadly scenario.
A passenger, 42-year-old Juan Nolasco, died in the accident. Cartagena was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries but received charges of careless driving and driving without a valid driver’s license.
