We are happy to hear that the bicyclist injured in this crash is expected to recover. Unfortunately, many hit-and-run crashes involve serious injuries and death to the affected victims. Drivers are more likely to flee the scene of a serious car accident, especially if they are at fault for causing the crash. Under Florida law, anyone who leaves the scene of an injury accident has committed a felony and will face substantial legal trouble.
