Plantation, FL (July 15, 2021) - Two people were killed in a crash that took place in Plantation on Thursday, July 15th. The accident was reported around 3:30 a.m. in the 400 block of North University Drive.
According to reports, a black 2014 Mercedes Benz was traveling on Plantation when the driver lost control, causing the car to crash. Both the driver and a juvenile passenger died at the scene. Their identities have not been released at this time. The cause of the accident has not been released. Due to a heavy police presence drivers were advised to avoid the scene and to find alternate routes of travel.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were on the scene of a fatal crash involving a pedestrian in Fort Myers on Thursday, October 31st. The crash took place around 10:00 p.m. on Buckingham Road. According to reports, 50-year-old Shannon Flanagan of Fort Myers was walking across the road when he was struck by a pickup truck traveling southbound on Buckingham. The crash sent Flanagan airborne and he landed on the shoulder of the roadway. Rescue workers pronounced him dead at the scene. There is no word on whether the driver of the truck remained at the crash scene. Read more
