Pompano Beach, FL - Driver Killed in Sunday Crash with Brightline Train

Pompano Beach, FL (August 26, 2019) - A driver was killed in a crash involving a Brightline train in Pompano Beach on Sunday, August 25th.  The accident occurred around 11:30 am near Northeast 33rd Street and North Dixie Highway.  

The driver was struck by the train while crossing over the tracks and was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police have not identified the victim at this time.  There were no other injuries reported in the accident.  At this time, the exact cause of the collision remains unclear.

No further details are available.
