Port Charlotte, FL (July 20, 2019) - Police responded to the scene of a fatal crash on El Jobean Road in Port Charlotte on Friday, July 19th.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash took place near Flamingo Boulevard. At least one person was pronounced dead as a result of the collision. Troopers have not said how the accident took place or the number of vehicles involved. The identity of the deceased victim has not yet been released. The crash caused traffic to be blocked for several hours at the intersection with Flamingo Boulevard.
No further details have been released.
