Port St. Lucie, FL (October 7, 2018) - The driver of a dump truck was killed in a crash with a train on Thursday, October 4th.
Authorities report that the body of 53-year-old Oslavio Morales was discovered on Friday in a canal. Officers believe that Morales was operating a dump truck on Thursday afternoon when he crossed over a set of train tracks. The train collided with Morales's truck, pushing it off the track and into a canal. The force of the collision caused the cab of the dump truck to separate from the rest of the truck.
According to reports from the scene, the railroad crossing had a stop sign but no crossing arms. There is no additional information available.
