Quincy, FL (July 29, 2018) – A single accident took place that took the life of one person, and injured four people. Two children were amongst the wounded in the crash that took place in Quincy on Saturday evening.
One of the passengers in the vehicle, 50-year-old Reginald Wilson, died from his injuries due to the accident. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash, which took place around 4:57 p.m. yesterday on State Road 267. The car was traveling north at the time, which is when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The car traveled across other lanes of the roadway and spun, then overturning before it hit a tree. The driver, a 3-year-old, and 1-year-old in the vehicle were all injured and taken to the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Multiple parties, including children, were not wearing their seatbelts at the time. Police are investigating to find out what caused the driver to lose control.
