Riverview, FL - One Killed in Crash Involving SUV and Truck

Riverview, FL (June 19, 2019) - A person is dead after a crash along US-301. The crash took place on Wednesday, June 19th, around 8:13 a.m.  

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were called to US-301 at Balm Riverview Boulevard in response to the accident. Rescue workers were also called to the scene to assist. Investigators were able to determine that an SUV ran a red light at the intersection. An oncoming vehicle collided with the SUV, causing it to overturn. As the SUV was lying in the roadway, it was struck by a truck pulling a trailer.  

An unidentified adult male in the SUV died as a result of the crash. Additionally, three children inside the vehicle were taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Police have not released any further details surrounding the crash as an investigation remains ongoing.
