  • Orange County, FL - Two Killed in Car Accident on John Young Parkway

    Two people were killed following a car accident that took place in Orange County on Sunday, January 17th. The accident was reported around 3:15 a.m. on the John Young Parkway near State Road 408. According to a report from the accident scene, a Dodge Challenger was traveling southbound on John Young Parkway when the driver attempted to make a turn. As the driver turned, the Challenger collided with a Chevy Malibu in the right-hand lane. The Challenger overturned and caught fire after the crash. The driver of the Malibu was critically injured while a 24-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman in the Challenger were killed in the accident. None of the victims have been identified at this time.   • Safety Harbor, FL - One Killed in Two-Car Collision on Philippe Parkway

    Rescue crews and police responded to a two-car crash in Safety Harbor on Wednesday, June 26th. The crash happened around 6:40 p.m. in the 2100 block of Philippe Parkway. According to police, a 62-year-old man was operating a 2008 Kia Spectra in the southbound lanes of the roadway. The Spectra made a left turn and struck the passenger side of a 2001 Toyota Avalon driven by Brendan Burke, 19, of Clearwater. The Kia then continued to veer off the roadway before colliding with a utility pole. The Kia driver was later pronounced dead from his injuries. He has not been identified, pending notification of his family. Burke suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Read more
