Sanibel, FL (July 5, 2019) - Two jet skis collided with each other off of the Sanibel Causeway, leaving two children and an adult injured. The incident took place on Thursday, July 4th.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and the Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene. A spokesman with the Fish and Wildlife Commission confirmed the crash and also confirmed that three people, including two children, were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Officials say that the crash took place when a man driving a green jet ski crashed into another jet ski from behind. A 37-year-old mother and two 4-year-old children were on the second jet ski when the crash happened.
