Sarasota County, FL (July 22, 2018) – In Sarasota County, an Englewood man was critically injured in an accident. The man who was injured was identified as 58-year-old Norman Christensen.
A wet roadway might have led to the collision that left the man in critical condition following the accident. The Florida Highway Patrol investigated the incident.
29-year-old William Woodbury was driving a 2008 Ford F-250 just south of US 41 around 8:25 a.m. in the left lane. The truck hydroplaned on the wet road and flipped. This caused the northbound traffic lanes to be crossed, which is when the truck hit a 1999 Mercedes that was traveling in that direction.
The driver of the Mercedes was taken to the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He was listed in critical condition following the accident.
In Florida, there is a reportable auto accident every 92 seconds. Over 250,000 people were injured on Florida roads in 2017 alone. We send our condolences to you if you have received injuries in a serious accident that could have been prevented.
