Seminole County, FL (September 9, 2018) - A pedestrian died Sunday morning following a collision with an Amtrak train. According to reports, the incident occurred at around 10:40 am near Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Longwood Lake Mary Road. The pedestrian died at the scene.
The Amtrak train was carrying approximately 100 passengers at the time of the crash. None of them, however, suffered any injuries. Authorities with the Florida Highway Patrol were called to the scene to investigate the incident.
At this time, there is no word on what caused the collision to occur. The pedestrian has not been identified by police. No additional information is available.

One person died in a head-on collision between an SUV and a semi-truck on Friday, December 28th in Fellsmere. The accident took place in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 just before 5:00 am. According to reports, an SUV was traveling southbound when, for unknown reasons, it crossed over the dividing line of the highway. While in the northbound lanes, the SUV collided with the truck, which was traveling northbound. There were four occupants in the SUV and all four were ejected from the vehicle following impact. One passenger, 20-year-old Shatiba Delhall, died in the crash. The three others were injured but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
