St. Petersburg, FL (September 29, 2019) - A pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a crash that happened in St. Petersburg. The accident occurred around 7:00 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Central Avenue.
Reports indicate that a pedestrian attempted to cross the street when he was struck by a 1996 Honda Accord. The pedestrian suffered critical injuries in the accident and was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. The pedestrian has not been identified by police at this time. No one else was injured in the accident.
The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating at this and no additional details have been released.

A 30-year-old woman from Haines City was killed in a car accident that took place on Saturday, August 8th around 3:00 a.m. The crash took place on U.S. 17/92 near the exit with U.S. 27. According to reports from the scene, a 43-year-old man from Haines City was driving a 2020 Toyota Corolla northbound on U.S. 27 when he exited onto U.S. 17/92. As he made the exit, his car left the roadway, spun around, and came to rest on the other side of the road. A 30-year-old passenger, Blanca Albarran, was killed in the crash.
