Tallahassee, FL (July 26, 2018) – Authorities were called to investigate the scene of a bus accident that sent several people to the hospital. The incident happened in Tallahassee between an SUV and a StarMetro bus along Stadium Drive this morning.
The scene took place near the intersection of Stadium Drive and Hendry Street in front of the Florida State Doak Campbell Stadium. It happened at 10:09 a.m. this morning. EMS officials arrived at the scene.
Officials say that a Saturn SUV struck the back of the bus as it was stopped at the intersection. It was described as a low-impact crash. There were 20 people on the bus at the time, and six of them were sent to the hospital with injuries. At this time, the extent of their injuries is not known.
The driver of the SUV did not receive any injuries. The roadway was closed in the area for several hours.

Two motorcyclists were killed in a crash in Deltona on Tuesday, October 29th. The crash took place around 10:20 p.m. on State Road 415. According to reports, 20-year-old Kaily Blankenship was traveling northbound in a 1998 Honda when she attempted to pass a 2002 Dodge pickup truck driven by 17-year-old Kristijan Lasic of Port Orange. As Blankenship traveled into the passing lane, she collided with two Kawasaki motorcycles traveling southbound on SR 415. The motorcyclists, identified as two men ages 27 and 54, were pronounced dead at the crash scene. Neither have been identified at this time. Read more
