Florida experiences approximately 5,000 DUI-related crashes each year. Of this number, nearly 500 of these collisions will result in death. In fact, about 25% of all fatal Florida traffic accidents occur as a result of impaired driving. The tremendous effects of driving under the influence are still apparent in our state on a daily basis and there is nothing more irresponsible and reckless than getting behind the wheel of a vehicle while being intoxicated.
We extend our deepest thoughts and sympathies to the families of the two men killed in this tragic Tampa car accident.
