Tampa, FL (December 2, 2019) - A woman from Tampa was killed in a hit-and-run crash that took place on Sunday, December 1st. The incident was reported around 2:17 a.m. on Nebraska Avenue near East 120th Avenue.
According to reports, 40-year-old Chanda Renee Gant was crossing Nebraska in a westbound direction. While she was in the roadway, she was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the impact. Rescue workers arrived on the scene and transported Gant to Advent Health Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Police are still looking for the driver of the vehicle, which they believe is a 2003-2009 Chevrolet Blazer.

Police and rescue officials responded to the scene of a car accident in Orlando on Monday, February 1st. The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on State Road 408 near Rosalind Avenue. According to a report from the Orlando Fire Department, a car and a tow truck collided with one another. The driver of the car was extricated and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. There is no update on the driver's condition at this time. Two other people were also injured in the crash but there is no word on the extent of their injuries either. Police have not released any information on the cause of the accident. The roadway was closed until approximately 1:15 p.m. while crews worked at the scene. Read more
