Tampa Police Officer Involved in Accident, Minor Injuries Result

Today, a Tampa police officer was involved in a crash on Busch Boulevard that happened early in the morning. The accident happened in westbound lanes of an intersection near Busch Boulevard.

At this time, it has been confirmed that there were only minor injuries. Lanes of the roadway were temporarily closed so that police could investigate.

    One person is dead after a four-vehicle crash along U.S. 192 in Osceola County. The crash was reported in the westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 192 around 7:20 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the crash. Troopers say that the crash took place when a sedan was rear-ended by a pickup truck driven by a 59-year-old man from Merritt Island. The sedan then collided with a third and fourth vehicle in a chain-reaction style collision. The driver of the sedan was rushed to a local hospital but later succumbed to their injuries.   • Columbia County, FL - 13-Year-Old Girl Killed in Crash Between Car and Semi-Truck

    Police were on the scene of a fatal accident in Columbia County on Monday, August 17th. The crash happened on I-10 near U.S. 441 around 11:15 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 36-year-old female driver was operating a vehicle eastbound on I-10 when her car collided with a tractor-trailer. A 13-year-old female occupant of the car was killed in the crash. The driver and a 15-year-old female passenger suffered serious injuries and were taken to a hospital in Gainesville for treatment. The truck driver sustained minor injuries. There is no information on the cause of the accident at this time and no word on whether any charges are expected. Read more
