Taylor County, FL (June 26, 2018) – In Taylor County, a driver crashed in a ditch-related accident that led to charges. The woman was identified as 23-year-old Kelli Evans.
Evans was charged with failing to drive in a single lane and not wearing a seatbelt after the accident took place. The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene around 6:00 a.m. on Sunday morning on US Highway 221.
According to police, Evans was traveling southbound in her vehicle when she veered onto the shoulder of the road and was involved in the accident. Her vehicle crossed into the wrong lane of travel and struck a utility pole. At this time, it crashed into a ditch that was filled with water.
Evans did not sustain injuries in the accident and alcohol was not a factor. Many different crews responded to the scene of the accident to ensure her safety.
