A LaBelle woman was killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash on Palm Beach Boulevard. Friends and family said that 21-year-old Taylor Hicks was an “amazing young lady” who liked animals and was studying business in college.
Hicks was killed in a DUI accident when another driver was driving drunk. Hicks was driving her Ford Fiesta at the time and was in the left turn lane when her vehicle collided with the right side of a Chevy Tahoe. The vehicle was driven by 40-year-old Hermelo Maya Arias, who was driving drunk at the time.
Hicks was pronounced dead at the scene as a result. The accident also caused minor injuries to Arias and his passenger, 23-year-old Jair Cuevas Salina.
