Ted Deese was taken to the hospital on Sunday when his tractor flipped off the roadway into the St. Johns River. The accident took place in Jacksonville. Unfortunately, Deese dies from his injuries today.
Deese became trapped after his tractor flipped and fell into the water behind a piece of property on an island nearby. Many people said that, at the time, he was moving many large rocks around his property so that they would be closer to the water.

An elderly woman was killed when she was struck by a car in Daytona Beach on Monday. The crash happened along U.S. 1 near South Ridgewood Avenue and Magnolia Avenue. Police say that the woman was crossing the road when she was hit by a silver Dodge Ram that was making a right turn. When rescue crews arrived at the scene, they found the woman lying in the roadway with a serious head injury. She was in a crosswalk when she was struck according to police. The victim was later taken to Halifax Medical Center where she later died from her injuries. She has not been identified at this time. Read more
